① Periodic characteristics

The FPC industry used to be greatly influenced by the demand for computers and consumer electronics, but as downstream distribution becomes more widespread and product coverage becomes wider, printed circuit boards are less affected by a single industry, and the risk of industry fluctuations decreases. The printed circuit board industry is mainly affected by macroeconomic cyclical fluctuations.

② Seasonal characteristics

The production and sales of printed circuit boards are less affected by seasons, and the seasonal characteristics of the industry are not obvious. However, due to factors such as downstream electronic terminal product holiday consumption and downstream customers stocking up in advance to cope with the peak consumption season, FPC production enterprises generally have higher production and sales scale in the second half of the year than in the first half.

③ Regional characteristics

The FPC industry as a whole exhibits certain regional characteristics. Globally, emerging markets represented by China have strong demand for various types of printed circuit board products. The output value of FPC industry is mainly distributed in Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, China, Japan and South Korea.

As for China itself, due to the high level of economic development and the relatively developed electronic information industry in the coastal areas of East and South China, these two regions are concentrated in high-end and high value-added products of printed circuit board manufacturing.
